Function - Subject F (Transcendence) EP

Some dancefloor focused material from the New Yorker.

Following hot off the heels of Functions highly acclaimed 17 track album Existenz” on Tresor Records comes this follow up EP that runs with similar themes resulting in somewhat of a departure point’. The outing marks the first artist to release a solo project on Eaux other than its label head Rrose. The EP brings history full circle as it was Functions Sandwell District label that released the firth series of works by Rrose dating back to 2011

Tracklist:
A1. Binaural
B1. Desire And Memory

Binaural’ encapsulates the timeless essence of the Function sound with menacing bleeps, cavernous stabs, and a sense that it could go on forever without losing its grip on the listener. Desire and Memory’ is a broken beat track drenched in modulated drones that feels like an infinite spiral, moving simultaneously forward and backward in time.”
