Mike Parker Q&A + Premiere

A rare discussion with the techno mastermind.

Mike Parker has always been an elusive figure within the techno scene. However, ahead of his forthcoming EP The Devil’s Curators Vol. 1 on Spazio Disponible, he conducted a rare interview with the Norway based outlet Monument in addition to their première of one of the releases most compelling cuts.

Minimal enough to be blended with something else, but not so minimal that it is spiritless by itself. This is how Mike Parker describes what he aims for with his music.”

The interview touches on Parker’s approach to his latest EP and how he decided upon the eye-catching track titles. It then flows on to discuss his long history as a painter, his early days as a DJ on college radio and balancing life as a musician and artist, see here. Additionally, you check out below the full-length première of the second track off the new EP The Demon’s Platform’. Here Parker provides warping hypnotism, experimenting with half-time tempo’s and spacious rhythms.
