Shifted: New Alias & Album

Lazy Mechan­ics came out on Feb­ru­ary 24^th via The Tril­o­gy Tapes. It is Guy Brew­er’s first release under his new alias, Carrier. 

With 7 tracks that span the cross-sec­tion of IDM, tech­no, drum & bass and exper­i­men­tal. It marks a step out­side Brew­er’s well-estab­lished musi­cal domain. Lazy Mechan­ics is his first musi­cal out­put since the 2021 Shift­ed album, Con­stant Blue Light.

Speak­ing to Res­i­dent Advi­sor, ​“I guess it’s an effort to step away from purism. Right now the thresh­olds between gen­res are where you find the most excit­ing music. When any­thing becomes too inward look­ing it los­es its spark. So it’s been refresh­ing to step into the stu­dio with this mind­set and push myself out of my com­fort zone.”
