Peter Van Hoesen & Heleen Blanken ISM Hexadome installation review

Resident Advisor shared their thoughts on the duo’s recent collaboration in Berlin for ISM Hexadome.

Housed in the Atrium of Berlin’s Martin-Gropius-Bau museum the ISM Hexadome was designed to reflect the progress of our time and the artists among us pushing the boundaries between technological possibilities and artistic spaces’. Having previously played host to names such as Thom Yorke and Brian Eno Friday nights performance came from none other than Peter Van Hoesen & Heleen Blanken

Accompanied by a 360-degree audiovisual platform alongside a multi-channel surround speaker system the pair performed a 40-minute show of light and sound. Equipped with a modular synth Peter provided a slow ambient soundtrack for Heleen’s video art that explored natural and organic materials.
