Marco Shuttle contributes to the Sounds of Detroit sample pack

Detroit's Movement festival and audio outlet Splice have compiled a sample pack filled with samples created by artists from the festivals 2018 line up.

Titled Sounds of Detroit the com­pi­la­tion aims to pro­mote an inclu­sive Detroit music scene with all pro­ceeds going to two local non-prof­it organ­i­sa­tions; The Seraphine Col­lec­tive and Spin, Inc. The com­pi­la­tion includes a long list of high pro­file artists from Detroit and Chica­go leg­ends to our very own Mar­co Shut­tle

The ideas behind the com­pi­la­tion all are based on field record­ings made by Detroit artists Shige­to and Waa­jeed at var­i­ous loca­tions around the city. Each artist was invit­ed to High Bias record­ing stu­dios to edit and trans­form those record­ings into sam­ples and loops. The pack, which you can find here, is filled with near­ly 500 audio files cov­er­ing every­thing from drum hits, sound­scapes, stabs, FX and loops.
