Max Abysmal remix for Kalahari Oyster Cult

Fol­low­ing on from his debut releas­es in 2018, Max Abysmal returns with a very tidy remix for one of Ams­ter­dam’s most excit­ing upcom­ing labels Kala­hari Oys­ter Cult. The Red Light Radio reg­u­lar reim­ages a cut from Amer­i­can duo La Bat­terie’s EP ​“Let There Be Drums” which was orig­i­nal­ly released in 1983 and will be reis­sued along­side Max’s and Benedikt Frey remixes. 

Titled ​“Let There Be Drums” (Max Abysmal’s Spooky Remix), which comes in just shy of 7 min­utes in length, adopts and adapts the raw ener­gy of the orig­i­nal ​’83 ver­sion while offer­ing Max’s left-of-cen­tre, off-kil­ter mag­ic. Abysmal lay­ers ghost­ly notes and spec­tral snares into his mechan­i­cal down­tem­po remake plung­ing you deep into the depths of an untold hor­ror tale.
