Jamie Tiller & Orpheu The Wizard RA Live from Brilliant Corners

RA have been host­ing lazy Sun­day after­noon ses­sions at Lon­don’s Bril­liant Cor­ner’s for some time now. The space com­bines an impres­sive Audio­phile Sound Sys­tem with Japan­ese din­ing and some­where in between this, the RA crew hand-pick a DJ’s to lay down a fit­ting sound­track that’s also streamed across their online plat­forms. Join­ing their lat­est affair were two of Europe’s deep­est dig­gers Jamie Tiller and Orpheu The Wiz­ard who each stepped into the booth for an hour.

First up was home­town boy Jamie Tiller who earned him­self a mix of the day with his envi­able selec­tion of down-tem­po cuts. Jamie sets an ambi­ent tone in the for­mer half of the hour with a refresh­ing com­bi­na­tion of organ­ic and elec­tron­ic sounds. In the lat­ter, he moves through an assort­ment of odd­ball jams keep­ing things unpre­dictable with­out rais­ing puls­es too much.

Next up was Red Light Radio co-founder Orpheu The Wiz­ard. Orpheu fol­lowed suit restor­ing the ambi­ence in the room with his first few cuts. From here, he keeps things hor­i­zon­tal­ly inclined while show­cas­ing the weird­er jams that can be found in his collection.
