Crate Diggers: Orpheu The Wizard

The Vinyl Factory feature Orpheu The Wizard in their Crate Diggers series.

Over the last several years, it’s become very apparent how much of an impact Orpheu The Wizard has had in shaping Amsterdam’s music culture. With ten solid years of Red Light Radio under his belt and new projects such as the Dynamic Range listening bar, not forgetting his cult status as a selector, he has many defining strings to his bow. In recognition of this, The Vinyl Factory visited Orpheu The Wizard in his natural habitat for the latest instalment of their Crate Diggers’ series.

Welcoming The Vinyl Factory into his Amsterdam based home, Orpehu walks them through his history with records starting with his early beginnings as a Disco collector. They then move on to discussing the sleeves he designs for labels such as Dekmantel, Off Minor and Second Circle. From here, they touch on his motivations, work with Red Light Radio, the origins of his moniker and much more. Get the full scoop, here.
