Identified Patient at Dekmantel Festival 2019
Identified Patient made his presence known at Dekmantel Festival once again.
Identified Patient has grown strength by strength alongside the Dekmantel crew over the last few years. He truly made his mark in 2018 on the Boiler Room stage, too much acclaim, and in more recent times landed on the UFO extension of their label with his ‘Signals in Snakes’ EP, see here. At this year’s event, he could be found on the UFO 2 stage as the first day of the event tipped into the evening.
Across his 90 minute set Identified Patient showcased his ability to build a dancefloor from zero to peak time madness. Following on from an eerie live performance by Territory the young local had a clean slate to work from which he started in the 110bpm domain with headbanging rhythms and crunchy synth lines. Working the floor with great intuition, he then began raising pulses with breaking beats, fiery acid tracks and destructive electro workouts. He pieced together a very dynamic performance with great highs and introspective lows. Check this clip, here, for a prime example!
