Antal & Young Marco Rush Hour Stream

For the past cou­ple of weeks, we have joined forces with the leg­endary Ams­ter­dam based record store Rush Hour to bring you an evening of streams – the first cou­ple of an ongo­ing series that will con­tin­ue through­out the sum­mer. Via these trans­mis­sions, Rush Hour will invite a selec­tion of their favourite local artists which you might have guessed by now includes sev­er­al names from the Octo­pus ros­ter. Last week we saw Orpheu The Wiz­ard play along­side Lena Wil­likens and Ele­na Colom­bi lead­ing us into this weeks stream with Antal and Young Mar­co. 

Div­ing into the obscur­er side of his record col­lec­tion Young Mar­co puts togeth­er a freeform bound­ary­less set that touch­es on many dif­fer­ent sounds. Pac­ing through an array of 7“s and 12“s the out­ing is more focussed on tonal­i­ties, tex­tures and tim­bres rather than fol­low­ing a spe­cif­ic rhyth­mic tem­po. As for Antal, once the stream is passed over to the hands of the Rush Hour boss man he can be caught pac­ing through­out the store select­ing as he sees fit.
