Legowelt presents first feature-length animation

Legow­elt AKA Dan­ny Wolfers has released his first fea­ture-length ani­ma­tion film. AMBI­ENT TRIP COM­MAN­DER is released by his own Nightwind Ani­ma­tion Stu­dios and con­sists of 65 min­utes of Wolfers’ orig­i­nal art­work com­ing to life. Each frame was intri­cate­ly hand-drawn using vibrant water­colours in a painstak­ing process that took 14 months to complete.

“AMBI­ENT TRIP COM­MAN­DER is the sto­ry of Saman­tha Tapfer­sten, a geeky young woman who lives a rather dull life in a medi­um-sized Euro­pean city. She works a mun­dane job at a syn­the­siz­er store and spends her lone­ly evenings play­ing RPG games. One day she receives a cryp­tic email from a hack­ers group invit­ing her to Lone­tal, a vil­lage seclud­ed some­where deep in the Euro­pean Alps. As we fol­low her jour­ney to Lone­tal, things become more sin­is­ter and a grand mys­tery starts to unfold…” — Legow­elt

The Dutch pre­mière will be held on May 7^th 2022 at the EYE Film­mu­se­um in Ams­ter­dam, accom­pa­nied by a full orig­i­nal sound­track per­formed by Legow­elt fea­tur­ing live impro­vi­sa­tion on syn­the­siz­er.
