Emily Jeanne: Blue Dawn / Ao Sen

Intro­duc­ing the newest addi­tion to the PM+ series, Emi­ly Jeanne presents two unapolo­get­i­cal­ly bold son­ic experiences.

As a res­i­dent DJ at both Kiosk and Fuse, Emi­ly Jeanne has emerged as a promi­nent fig­ure in Bel­gium’s vibrant club scene and beyond. Her ver­sa­tile approach to mix­ing has cap­ti­vat­ed audi­ences, show­cas­ing her prowess both behind the decks and in the stu­dio. Her 2020 album, ​“Pub­lic By Default,” fur­ther demon­strat­ed her knack for cre­at­ing immer­sive sound­scapes. While she has con­tributed to sev­er­al com­pi­la­tions since then, her lat­est release, ​“Blue Dawn / Ao Sen,” marks a wel­come return to solo output.

The mes­mer­iz­ing yet propul­sive jour­ney of ​“Blue Dawn” com­bines hazy intro­spec­tion with an unwa­ver­ing dri­ve. Tran­si­tion­ing to the bro­ken rhythms and machine funk of ​“Ao Sen,” both com­po­si­tions exude an adven­tur­ous spirit.
