Musi­cian, pro­duc­er, artist and DJ Par­rish Smith will be talk­ing about his sem­i­nal influ­ences root­ed in his own Suri­namese-Dutch her­itage and his punk men­tal­i­ty. Both maneu­ver him through his mul­ti­dis­ci­pli­nary work, cross­ing bor­ders of the musi­cal spectrum. 

Par­rish Smith will be div­ing into his cre­ative process, show­ing what shapes his sound, both behind the decks and with­in his own work. Let­ting the audi­ence insights into how he trans­lates his exper­i­men­tal work­flow to audio and visu­al con­cepts, as in his lat­est work with Roel Weer­den­burg.

For this ses­sion, the audio-visu­al live-set­up that he debuted in his video clip for the sin­gle Nev­er Break Faith’ includ­ing an instal­la­tion by Roel Weer­den­burg will be show­cased and per­formed at ADE Lab. As he shares the con­cep­tu­al­iza­tion behind his lat­est project, and shares more about the col­lab­o­ra­tion for his audio­vi­su­al show.
