Musician, producer, artist and DJ Parrish Smith will be talking about his seminal influences rooted in his own Surinamese-Dutch heritage and his punk mentality. Both maneuver him through his multidisciplinary work, crossing borders of the musical spectrum.
Parrish Smith will be diving into his creative process, showing what shapes his sound, both behind the decks and within his own work. Letting the audience insights into how he translates his experimental workflow to audio and visual concepts, as in his latest work with Roel Weerdenburg.
For this session, the audio-visual live-setup that he debuted in his video clip for the single ‘Never Break Faith’ including an installation by Roel Weerdenburg will be showcased and performed at ADE Lab. As he shares the conceptualization behind his latest project, and shares more about the collaboration for his audiovisual show.
