One of tech­no’s true under­ground heroes, Func­tion’s musical influence on the last 3 decades can hardly be overstated. Releasing his first productions on his own label Infrastructure, he moved to Berlin in 2007 where he became a founding member of Sandwell District. His Berlin success also led him to release his 2015 album Incubation on Ostgut Ton and became the only international resident of Tbilisi’s Bassiani.

Identified Patient

Identified Patient is notorious for his high-octane performances — which just like his productions, light a carnal flame with smouldering selections drifting between tech­no, elec­tro, acid, dub, and jun­gle that’ll make your heart pound and your body move. With a string of releases on Dekmantel, Pinkman, Brokntoys, in November, he announced the launch of his own label, Nerve Collect. His EP, Elevator Music for Headbangers, will be the hotly anticipated debut release in January 2023, with more up his sleeve in the coming months.

Kangding Ray

A true artisan with both his DJ sets and A/V shows, Kangding Ray navigates under-explored territories between experimental and dance music. One half of Neon Chambers with Sigha, he has gained global attention both as a solo artist and as a duo, playing high-profile festivals such as Dekmantel, Sonar and Parallel. After a three-year research stint, he released his landmark album ULTRACHROMA on ara, which shows the esteemed producer at the height of his craft.

After 20 years in the game, Mike Parker con­tin­ues to carve his own niche in the world of elec­tron­ic music. In the 90s, he became a main­stay in the US ware­house par­ty scene. On his label,
Geophone, came a string of releases that played a key role in his sonic persona. His productions also found success on some of Europe's most established labels: Tresor, Semantica, Spazio Disponi­bile & Prologue. With a hyp­not­ic yet hard-hit­ting approach and a wealth of experience in the booth, Parker is well and truly a sea­soned under­ground veteran.

Roi Perez

Originally from Tel Aviv and currently based in Berlin, Roi Perez is a key player in the queer scenes of both cities. A familiarity with Berlin’s busiest dancefloors led him to hold a residency in Berghain’s panorama bar and he soon graduated to worldwide recognition. With the closure of clubs in 2021, he turned his talents towards production. Champu Princess, his collaboration with Avalon Emerson was released on Ostgut Ton’s expansive anniversary compilation in 2021.

Saoirse

Saoirse has crafted a career that traverses sonic worlds and subcultures. The DJ, producer, trUst label boss and Body Movements festival founder now flexes her creative muscles further.
Saoirse’s DJ sets are reverently researched yet unbridled by rules. A cavernous record bag oscillates from dark room chuggers to bubbling bass, garage, jungle, euphoric house. She is a resident of Barcelona’s queer party Maricas, and maintains her party trUst, which has hosted Spekki Webbu, Nicolas Lutz and Eris Drew. She curated a fabric night with Shanti Celeste, and queer electronic festival Body Movements, now in its third year, consistently sells out.

"Act local, play global,” is the motto of German DJ & producer, Sedef Adasï. At her loudly & proudly inclusive, HAMAM Nights, Adasï has hosted many respected artists in her hometown of Augsburg. She holds residencies at Munich's BLITZ club and Berlin's Panorama Bar but her orbit does not stop at national borders, with an international tour schedule and an RA Mix affirming her global reach. Her latest EP, Fantasy Zone was released in 2021 on Public Possession.

Soichi Terada

A long-time bastion of joyful house music in Japan and responsible for 80s computer soundtracks such as Ape Escape, now enjoying due recognition worldwide. His friendship with Rush Hour Records generated Hunee’s showcase, Sounds from The Far East as well as his own 2021 album, Asakusa Light and a collaboration with Masalo. His recent live shows and Radio 1 Essential Mix have been a resounding success and testament to his charm.
