Hailing from Sligo, Ireland, but based in Berlin for over a decade, Spray’s signature sound has been gradually refined since his teenage years immersed in dance music. Entraptured by the euphoric potential of trance, house and techno, formative sounds that opened an irresistible window to a bright future, Spray has deservedly become a pivotal figure in club culture, without shedding an inch of his optimism.
The alias of DJ, producer, songwriter, and mixing engineer Tiarnan McMorrow, Spray’s halcyon touch has blossomed into an intrinsic connection with a revitalised, ultra-modern rave scene. Singles ‘Sunscreen’ and ‘Where R U’ each became bona fide anthems, spilling from the united terraces of Ibiza superclubs and onto radio, their searching vocals and progressive, instantaneous melodies recalling halcyon times gone by, while promising even better nights ahead.
Bottling this euphoria on his own terms, 2025 saw Spray debut ‘Spritttz Live’, a digital/physical performance requested by and at the behest of beloved Dutch DJ Job Jobse, an avid supporter of Spray’s wide-eyed sound in his own tastemaking sets. First performed at Jobse’s carefully-curated festival, Strangelove, the Spritttz live experience has since developed rapidly and toured the world, appearing at festivals including X, Y and Z, as well as captured at London’s Waterworks festival for Resident Advisor’s RA Live series.
Equally active and long-respected as a DJ, the Sprittz live set has carved out further space for Spray to progress his instinct for the cutting-edge and often obscure records that furnish his DJ performances. An often more underground flip on the undistilled rush of his live performances, Spray’s specialism remains rooted in powerful basslines, alien textures and altogether memorable sounds. In curating his own label, Punctuality, he has introduced artists including X, Y and Z, each offering their own contribution to this unique sonic continuum.
Community and collaboration is at the heart of Spray’s philosophy, a perspective that finds him just as comfortable slinging out bottom-heavy chunkers B2B with Sally C, as well as going toe-to-toe with Rey Colino for their occasional bouts on the decks as ‘Sprey’. In the studio, Spray’s mixing has added a distinctive sonic dimension to singles by Confidence Man, CC:DISCO! and Sam Alfred, while he also served as an integral figure in the production of ‘intimate yell’, the ambitious debut album from DJ and producer, Courtesy.
Determined to move fluidly between influences and ambitions, Spray began 2026 in collaboration with fellow Irish talent Jazzy on ‘Can’t Deny It’. Showcasing his most impressive links yet between pop and dance, a clarion call of songwriting talent as well as dancefloor nous, ‘Can’t Deny It’ clocked up nearly three million listens in just one month.
