To com­ple­ment our cur­rent team, we are look­ing for some­one who can sup­port our team by assist­ing on the logis­ti­cal and pro­duc­tion­al advanc­ing of shows. We are look­ing for some­one who takes respon­si­bil­i­ty, is punc­tu­al, dis­crete and will­ing to learn. We are a diverse team and invest in learn­ing from each other’s per­spec­tives and are look­ing for a col­league with an inclu­sive atti­tude. There is, unfor­tu­nate­ly, no room for exten­sive research or study assign­ments dur­ing office hours.

Octo­pus Agents is a book­ing agency that focus­es on con­tem­po­rary elec­tron­ic dance music. We rep­re­sent over 40 artists, most­ly world­wide. The posi­tion on offer is based in Ams­ter­dam and we work from the office between 09:3018:30 from Mon­day to Fri­day. We’re look­ing for some­one who is based in, or around, Ams­ter­dam and will­ing to work from our office.

Activ­i­ties:

• Assist­ing on the world­wide (pre-)production and logis­tics for per­for­mances;
• Book­ing and admin­is­ter­ing trav­el, hotels, ground trans­port and oth­er logis­tial require­ments;
• Draft­ing tech­ni­cal and hos­pi­tal­i­ty rid­ers;
• Fil­ing work per­mits, visa or oth­er doc­u­ments required for the artist to per­form;
• File man­age­ment of all trav­el doc­u­ments (i.e. pass­port, visa, insur­ance);
• Col­lect­ing and con­firm­ing guestlist;
• Keep­ing notes at (advanc­ing) meet­ings;
• Assist­ing agents, artists and (tour) man­agers where need­ed;
• Var­i­ous office man­age­ment tasks

Who are you?

• You are able to work both com­mer­cial­ly and cre­ative­ly;
• You are used to adapt dif­fer­ent com­mu­ni­ca­tion styles and cul­tur­al com­mu­ni­ca­tion styles;
• You are dis­crete, open to learn and think in solu­tions;
• You can work care­ful­ly, punc­tu­al, calm­ly and feel respon­si­ble for your actions;
• You are able to work proac­tive­ly and as part of a team;
• You under­stand and val­ue the musi­cal spec­trum we oper­ate in;
• You are inter­est­ed in build­ing an inclu­sive work­ing space;
• Con­scious and con­struc­tive atti­tude towards the envi­ron­men­tal state of our plan­et and social top­ics;
• Flu­ent in Eng­lish in speak­ing and writ­ing is a must, any extra lan­guage is a bonus;
Enrolled as a stu­dent. The posi­tion is on bach­e­lor (HBO) lev­el. How­ev­er, we are inter­est­ed in your skills and knowl­edge, not in your qual­i­fi­ca­tions on paper.
