Legowelt remixes for Léonie Pernet

The studio wizard puts his talents to the test in this remix for French pop artist Léonie Pernet.

Legowelt adds another remix to his mass discography but this one is a little different to what we are used to seeing from the Dutchman. The track in question, Auaati, is an extract taken from the debut album of Léonie Pernet. Her album, Crave, dropped in September last year on the French imprint Infiné and has now been revisited for a special remix EP by both Acid Arab and as previously mentioned Legowelt

The original cut is quite a minimal piece of work with Hanaa Ouassim’s Arabic vocals right at the heart of the track. However, once Legowelt gets his hands on it he manages to spin it into a whole new direction. With layers of meticulously sequenced synth lines, crisp drum hits and warm pads he is able to give the track more depth and an extended arrangement. He puts the original vocals to great use but they don’t play as dominant of a role in comparison to the original. Again, Legowelt displays his great versatility in this rather unlikely remix. Check this one below.
