Palms Trax provides remix for Christine and the Queens
The English native shows off a different side to his arsenal with a remix for Christine and the Queens.
The remix EP focuses on two tracks from Christine and the Queens forthcoming album. “Girlfriend” or French vocal version “Damn, dis-moi” have both gained a lot of mileage since being shared last May. Ahead of the album’s release in September Christine and the Queens compiled a seven track remix EP with reworks from Gerd Janson, Dâm-Funk, Jam City, GODMODE and our very own Palms Trax.
Talking on the EP, Palms Trax explained, “Christine is a force of nature so I was super happy to be involved with the project in some small way, with Dâm-Funk being the icing on the cake. He was basically my gateway into the sleazy side of the 80s when I was a teenager so could only ever go full Italo-disco with the mix.”
As Palms Trax puts it himself he infuses the original with Italo-disco goodness providing a high energy infectious alternative. Using his signature retro charged synth lines and four to the floor drum work he takes the tracks in a whole new direction. See for yourself below!
