Peter Van Hoesen: Konduit
Peter van Hoesen announces the release of Konduit, a sound collection inspired by the sound of electricity made in collaboration with German company, Orchestral Tools.
Energy courses through Konduit — a collection of sounds crafted from analog and modular synths layered with processed electric guitars and basses. It was made in collaboration with Orchestral Tools and the Belgian techno producer and live performer Peter Van Hoesen, who recorded all the synth layers at his studio in Vietnam. Inspired by the sound of electricity, the patches in Konduit pulse, hum, zap, surge, charge, and spark — running the gamut from delicate, melodic thrums to distorted bolts of destruction.
Each patch, indeed covers different sound aesthetics, from distorted to harmonic. The use specific hardware processing rig patched, allowed me to run the synthesized sounds through a collection of pre-amps, tube compressors, and equalizers to add even more harmonics and character to the sounds.
