Legowelt links with Animistic Beliefs on his latest project

As we all know there is no one quite like Legow­elt. With his vast musi­cal out­put over the past 20 years, he has paved his own lane set­ting him­self apart from the rest. In his lat­est col­lab­o­ra­tion, the Dutch­man joins Rot­ter­dam based duo Ani­mistic Beliefs for a 6 track cas­sette EP. The col­lab­o­ra­tion orig­i­nal­ly start­ed out as mere­ly a scene in Anna Bogomolova’& Dammes Kieft’s upcom­ing full length ​‘Stro­bo­scopes & Smokema­chines’ doc­u­men­tary. How­ev­er, the scene sharply took on a life of its own and it was then decid­ed to make the short fea­ture a whole project of its own. 

In the mini-film below, you can watch the entire process of how the tape was cre­at­ed. It fol­lows the tri­o’s efforts in pro­duc­ing the 6 tracks that range from ​“elec­tro, ama­teur space jazz ambi­ent with a touch of G‑funk and a very intense trip-infused hyp­not­ic tech­no track.”
