Interstellar Funk at Rural Festival 2019

From the depths of space to the mountain peaks of Japan.

Late last summer Interstellar Funk headed out to Asia for a series of shows. One of his highly anticipated performances would be on the mountain tops of Nagano, Japan with the most beautiful surrounding’ for Rural Festival. Following on from an ambient set by Chris SSG the Dutchman laid out punching rhythms for the best part of three hours.

Tuning in below you will be welcomed by an introduction of warm and serene cinematic sounds..but not for too long. As Interstellar Funk kicks into gear he delicately works through downtempo cuts rich with wild synth lines and marching rhythms. Steadily pushing the pace with time he slowly works his way into heavier selections where gritty distortion tangles with engulfing low ends and snake charming melodies fall out of harrowing soundscapes. Check it out below.
