“Wata Igarashi and Vois­ki join forces to present their new col­lab­o­ra­tive project, WAV. Ignor­ing the phys­i­cal dis­tance between Tokyo and Paris, a per­son­al and musi­cal close­ness encour­aged them to start explor­ing what they could cre­ate togeth­er. Vois­ki the Parisian cen­tipede who brings synth-heavy per­fec­tion to tech­no and Wata Igarashi known for his styl­ish­ly reduced, immer­sive melodies and futur­is­tic grooves, col­lab­o­rate for the first time on Delsin Records.”

Across the EP the pair both fuse their sig­na­ture styles dis­play­ing ele­ments from their solo pro­duc­tions ​‘with­out sound­ing like any­thing either has done before.’ ​‘Pronom’ is an immer­sive melod­ic trip that falls grace­ful­ly into the hands of ​‘Pomme’ which chan­nels demon­ic sounds with rough delayed tex­tures and aggres­sive syn­the­sis. The B‑side is a lot more play­ful open­ing with ​‘Regex’ which brings joy­ous ener­gy to the EP fol­lowed by ​‘Riff’ which has chug­ging low ends backed by knife-sharp rhythms.
