DJ Nobu releases Hiiro EP on Kvalia Records
After a one year silence, Stockholm's vinyl-only label Kvalia Records enters 2022 with a meticulously-executed 3 track EP, ‘Hiiro’ by DJ Nobu and Artefakt. The collaborative 12-inch combines two original psychedelic techno trips produced by DJ Nobu with a "re-interpretive'' sonic journey by Dutch duo Artefakt.
Inverted Audio cites the A‑side track from Nobu, ‘Maria Feliz’ as an excellent example of the producer’s inimitable talents: the “exacting precision in the structure of his looping rhythms, and his sharp ear for loosely connected harmonies.” The track recalls many of his tracks on his own label, Bitta, from which 2021 brought the release of “Extra Tools 2″.
